Operations
TV & sound system
- Open the AV cabinet door and keep it open while the system is in use.
- TV: use the Apple remote, and log in with your own account information.
- Music: on your phone, open Spotify or your music app and connect over Bluetooth to “Living Room Node.”
- Make sure the McIntosh receiver’s INPUT (the knob on the left) is set to “Living Room Node.”
Windows & sliders
Turn the handle 90°: the window hinges from the side and swings in.
Turn the handle 180°: the window hinges from the bottom and tilts in at the top. Best if you want some ventilation but plan to be away for part of the day or expect rain — it can be a driving rain off the lake.
Turn the handle 180° downward to unlock and open. The living room and dining area sliders have retractable bug screens.

The on/off switch is in the sink cabinet.
The pot filler sits over the stove with no drain, so it has two valves for safety and leak prevention. Make sure to close both valves after use.

Metal trash bins and a composter tumbler are to the left of our garage. We encourage you to compost food waste, which cuts down a lot on your total trash.
A blue plastic bin in the garage is for recyclables. Next to it is a metal can for returnables.
When our bins are full and/or at the end of your stay, please take the general trash and recyclables to the two shared dumpsters up the road — your host can point them out. They're shared resources on the property of our neighbors, Scott and Emily, so please go quietly and during the day.
When the returnables can gets full, please drop them off at:
8–4, Monday–Friday; closed weekends. Not a redemption center — proceeds are donated.
Take Rte 302, then left on Rte 115; Patmans liquor store and redemption is just past the intersection on the right.
