When Dad Chu passed away in 2011, George, John, and Irene inherited the property. By 2023, we knew it was time to take care of deferred maintenance and update the property into a more viable, year-round home that strives to be green and energy efficient. Our renovation prioritized solar, natural and locally sourced materials, and other energy-efficient measures, reaching Passive House standards.
The property has been a destination for many celebrations and gatherings with family and friends, as well as the refuge for countless restful and relaxing getaways. The renovation, completed in August 2026, marks the 50th anniversary of Dad Chu's original purchase.
